Efthalia Angelopoulou

Efthalia Angelopoulou, Neurologist, MSc, PhDc, is a graduate of the Medical School of Athens, having received a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). She graduated with honors from the postgraduate program in “Molecular and Applied Physiology” in the Athens Medical School, supported by a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation. Her thesis focused on the investigation of the environmental factors and clinical characteristics of Parkinson’s disease at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (supervised by Prof. Leonidas Stefanis). She has authored over 90 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has several presentations in Greek and European conferences (h-index: 30, Google Scholar). Since 2021, she participates in the “Clinic of Memory, Dementia, and Parkinson’s Disease through the National Telemedicine Network” (supervised by Prof. Sokratis Papageorgiou). She has participated in the Research Programs SI4CARE and EDIAN. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Medical School of Athens, in the field of cognitive disorders, and she works as a Scientific Associate in the Neurology Department at the Aeginiteion University Hospital on the Research Program “TeleCogNition”. Her main clinical and research interests focus on the epidemiology, pathophysiology and management of neurodegenerative diseases.
