Elpida Fotiadou is a graduate of the Chemistry Department at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems (MSc). She has been with IDIKA SA since 1988 and currently serves as Director of the eHealth Horizontal Actions Directorate, overseeing numerous nationwide and cross-border eHealth systems. With extensive experience in the analysis, design, and implementation of information systems, she has played a key role in many national projects from their inception. These include the National Social Security Number Registry (AMKA), the National Electronic Prescribing System, the eHealth Record System, the Primary Healthcare Information System, National Patients Registries, Preventive Medicine, and Medical Certificates. She has also contributed to several European eHealth projects, such as SOHealth, NCPeHealth, HealtheID, EuroCAS, UNICOM, eIDAS, xShare, Xt-HER, ELLENA and GR-HDAB. She is a member of the HL7 Hellas Steering Committee and represents Greece in the eHDSI Member State Expert Group (eHMSEG).
