Yiannis Samiotakis

Vice President, Hellenic Association of Health Informatics – E.S.P.Y., Greece

Yiannis Samiotakis, specializing in Digital Health projects and applications, has over 37 years of professional experience in senior and top positions in private IT companies. He has been awarded the European IT Prize by the Information Technology European Awards for excellence in transforming IT research results into innovative products for commercial exploitation, and he has overseen the assignment and implementation of dozens of projects with a total budget of several millions of euros. He is the Vice President of the Hellenic Association of Health Informatics (E.S.P.Y.) and a member of the Governing Committee of HL7 Hellas. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and an MSc in Computer Science from The Ohio State University (USA).
