Dr. Mev Dominguez-Valentin is a geneticist and Group Leader at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital. With a PhD from the AC Camargo Cancer Hospital in Brazil and over 15 years of international research experience across Europe and Latin America, she has established herself as a global expert in hereditary cancer syndromes—particularly Lynch syndrome. Dr. Dominguez-Valentin leads the International Lynch Syndrome Database (ILSD) and coordinates the EU-funded PREDI-LYNCH project, which focuses on liquid biopsy-based early cancer detection. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and holds editorial and expert roles in several international genomic and oncology consortia. A recognized science ambassador and mentor, she has also played a central role in fostering cancer research networks in Latin America and Europe. Her work bridges basic science and clinical application in the era of precision medicine.
