Director General, Greek Patients Association

Natalia Toubanaki is a senior health policy and strategy professional with a longstanding commitment to advancing patients’ rights and strengthening patient participation in health systems governance. Her experience spans leadership roles across the private and public sectors, with a consistent focus on health policy, institutional dialogue, and strategic communication. As Communications Director of the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE), she led nationwide initiatives underscoring the societal value of innovation, equitable access to care, and sustainable pharmaceutical policy. In her capacity as Director of the Healthcare Sector at Boussias, she has curated and delivered major national and international health policy conferences, fostering structured dialogue among policymakers, academia, industry leaders, and organized patient communities. From the inception of the Panhellenic Patients’ Conference, she has actively supported and strengthened the mission of the Greek Patients’ Association, working closely with patient organizations to promote meaningful engagement in decision-making processes. Her work is grounded in the principles of equity, transparency, and patient-centered care, with a clear objective: to ensure that the lived experience of patients informs policy design, evaluation, and reform. Natalia holds academic qualifications in Psychology and Counseling, as well as German and Spanish Philology, and is fluent in five languages.
