Deputy Director of Technical Services, Onassis Hospital, Athens, Greece

Dr. Georgios Chaloutsos is a graduate Mechanical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), with postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham (MSc in Applied Radiation Physics & PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine) and at the Athens University of Economics and Business (MSc in Decision Sciences). He holds a Diploma in Management Accounting & Costing (AIA, UK) and has completed executive education programs at Cranfield University (Quality Management System Assessment), INSEAD (European Health Leadership Programme), and Harvard Kennedy School (The Art & Science of Negotiation). Since 1992, he has been working at the Onassis Hospital, where he currently serves as Deputy Director of Technical Services & Head of Clinical Engineering. He also served as Quality Manager for 12 years and as Deputy Director of Human Resources for 6 years. He was a member of the Executive Board of the European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) from 2016 to 2021. He has extensive experience in the management of medical equipment projects and Quality Systems. He teaches in the postgraduate programmes in Healthcare Management at René Descartes College (CNAM), covering Total Quality & Risk Management as well as Health Technology Assessment.
