Dr. Eduardo Rodríguez Cubillo, MD, MPH, is a Costa Rican physician and digital health leader with over 25 years of clinical and healthcare system experience. He holds a Medical Doctor degree and a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Medical Informatics and Communications and is currently pursuing a Master’s specialization in Health Informatics at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires. Dr. Rodríguez Cubillo has played a key role in the digital transformation of healthcare in Costa Rica through the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS). He serves as Product Owner of the Integrated Health Record System (SIES) and Product Owner of the EDUS Mobile App, two cornerstone platforms of the national EDUS (Expediente Digital Único en Salud) ecosystem. His work focuses on clinical information systems, interoperability, digital governance, and the use of data and artificial intelligence to improve healthcare delivery. With a unique combination of clinical, public health, and technological expertise, he contributes to the design of patient-centered digital solutions that strengthen continuity of care, population health management, and innovation within public health systems.
