Clinical Semantics / Vocabularies as A Market Enabler
The session focuses on bringing together national stakeholders, international organisations, and industry voices to explore national strategies for clinical vocabularies, the value of adopting global, scalable standards, practical challenges faced by vendors, opportunities for public–private collaboration.
The aim of this session is to provide clarity on why clinical vocabularies matter for vendors, technically, commercially, and strategically, create a shared understanding between policy, national bodies, and industry, encourage cross-fertilisation of ideas, including constructive disagreement, identify concrete next steps, from pilots and testing to longer-term partnerships.
The outcomes will feed into a short position paper and follow-up activities, including the 2026 IHE Connectathon (Brussels, 23–27 March), ensuring continuity beyond Athens Digital Health Week.
