Digital Transformation, Quality in Healthcare and Health Policies – Actual implementations
This session explores how digital transformation is translated from research projects and policy initiatives into real-life implementation within the Greek healthcare system, highlighting concrete impacts on quality of care, patient safety, and health policy.
Drawing on experience from research projects, pilot initiatives, and operational deployments in Greece, the discussion will examine how digital tools and organisational change can enhance quality in health services, enable smart hospital models and telecare, strengthen patient participation in the formulation of digital health policies, and reduce medical errors in everyday clinical practice.
By bringing together academic expertise, implementation experience, and policy perspectives, the session showcases lessons learned from the Greek experience, illustrating how evidence generated through projects and research can be effectively scaled and embedded into healthcare delivery and decision-making, with measurable benefits for both patients and the health system.
