From HTA to Value-Based Procurement: Making Evidence Work for Health Systems

This session evolves around Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Value-Based Procurement. Inevitably the session also touches upon Medical Device Regulation and Certification as well as the AI related acts and the recent efforts for the Digital OMNIBUS that attempt to provide relief to businesses, public administrations, and citizens, as well as boost competitiveness.

The aim of the session is to gear towards a more informed, transparent, and sustainable decision-making in healthcare systems. Focusing on digital health and biomedical technologies, it will highlight how evidence on clinical outcomes, economic impact, and real-world value can be translated into procurement practices that reward innovation while maximizing patient and system benefit. Fostering dialogue among policymakers, clinicians, industry, and technology experts on aligning assessment, purchasing, and long-term value in healthcare lays at the center of this session.
