Vendor Co-Chair, IHE-Europe
Dr. Andreas Klingler holds an MSc in Technical Informatics and a PhD in Medical Informatics (on component based medical information systems), and has more than 30 years background in software development and information technology. He is member of the IHE International Board, IHE-Europe Deputy Vendor Co-Chair, Co-Chair of the COCIR Cybersecurity & Interoperability Focus Group, member of the DICOM Executive Committee, member of the MTE Interoperability Work Group, and past Chair of the Joint Initiative Council (JIC). He is currently heading the Interoperability Competence Center at Siemens Healthineers and designated as Principal Key Expert for interoperability.
The Interoperability Competence Center verifies the interoperability of Siemens Healthineers imaging products and coordinates the Siemens Healthineers representatives in imaging related interoperability standards working groups.
Andreas held various management positions in software development and strategy within Siemens Healthineers before resuming responsibility for the Interoperability Competence Center. He focuses on the interoperability of imaging products since more than 10 years.
Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers Andreas was responsible for the data center infrastructure at a University hospital.
