Giorgio Cangioli is a Senior Consultant, with more than 20 years of experience in health ICT, working with private companies, government agencies and SDOs. He provides education and consulting services for interoperability standards and architectures, and he is involved in several Regional, National and European projects (e.g. epSOS; UNICOM, X-eHealth and many others). Giorgio is an HL7 Europe Technical Lead and Board member, Chair of the eHMSEG Semantic TF Architecture WG, Technical Steering Committee and Board member of HL7 International, and co-facilitator of several global (e.g. IPS, FAIR for FAIR) and European (e.g. Laboratory Report, HDR and EU Patient Summary) standard projects. He is author/contributor of several standards in HL7, DICOM, ISO/TC 215, CEN/TC 251 IHE; and standard-based specifications. He also served as WHO Temporary Adviser for the Smart Vaccination Certificate initiative.
