Dr. Pavlos Kranas is a Software Architect, Senior Researcher and Senior Software Engineer and has received his diploma from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2009. In 2021, he received his PhD in Software, Systems and Computation from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), focusing on the data management and query processing. He joined LeanXcale in October 2017, bringing to its team his solid background of distributed and database management systems and his experience in software development and technical coordination. Pavlos has more than 15 years of experience in research European projects with leading roles, currently undertaking the technical and research activities of LeanXcale in such projects, being either the technical coordinator, lead software architect, work package manager or designing, implementing, testing and integrating the novel LeanXcale software artefacts in such projects. During his career, he has participated in numerous EU projects such as 4CaaSt, VISION CLOUD, CoherentPaaS, LeanBigData, CrowdHEALTH, BigDataStack, PolicyCLOUD, INFINITECH, iHelp, MobiSpaces FAME, HumAIne, XR5.0, COMFORTAGE to name a few.
