Project Officer for European Programs at IDIKA S.A., Directorate of Operations and Project Planning, Head of the European Programs Department, Greece
Sophia Terzi, Head of the European Programs Department at IDIKA, holds a degree in Computer Science, a master’s degree in information and communication technologies (ICT), and is a PhD candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in e-Government.
She has over two decades of professional experience in the field of IT, including software design and development, software development team management, and has served as a research assistant in various innovative co-funded European and Greek programs. In recent years, she has been working as an executive at the Electronic Governance of Social Security (IDIKA) under the Ministry of Digital Governance, in the European Programs Department, where she serves as a Project Officer for the organization’s European projects. Her responsibilities include drafting and submitting proposals for new EU projects, monitoring project execution, supporting scientific teams, and contributing to the smooth operation of processes and systems that ensure the effective completion of projects.
Her research interests focus on Information and Communication Technologies in the field of eHealth, as well as Interoperability of Cross-Border Services in the Healthcare Sector. She has also participated in scientific conferences and has authored and published research papers on topics such as transaction transparency between systems, decentralization of digital identities using blockchain technologies, verifiable digital credentials, and more.
Her participation in the ADHW 2025 Conference provided attendees with insight into the new EU4H European project in eHealth, titled “European Digital Vaccination Card – EUVAC”, which IDIKA has undertaken as the National Contact Point for eHealth (NCPeH). In this capacity, IDIKA will act as the coordinating entity for all EU member states participating in the consortium.
