IT Director, Affidea Greece
Stathis Velivasakis is the IT Director of Affidea Greece, a member of the largest provider of Primary Healthcare services in Europe, operating in 15 countries.
He joined Affidea in 2007 as Head of Information Systems Development and, since January 2013, has held the position of IT Director. With over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, he has previously served in similar leadership roles in other companies.
His expertise includes Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics – Neuroinformatics, and Lean Management. As a member of Affidea Group’s European IT team, he is responsible for the adoption, implementation, and standardization of the IT operational environment, digital transformation, and business process optimization, ensuring alignment with the Group’s IT strategy.
He has participated as a scientific researcher in Research and Technological Development programs in collaboration with the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), the University of Crete, and the Technical University of Crete, within Joint Venture projects in areas of national priority.
