Dimosthenis Anagnostopoulos
Secretary General for Information Systems and Digital Governance, Ministry of Digital Governance, Greece
Dimosthenis Anagnostopoulos is a Professor at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University. He served as Rector of the same University from September 2011 to January 2016 and as Dean of the School of Digital Technology. He holds a BSc and a PhD from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He served as Greece’s National Representative to the European Union for ICT in Horizon 2020 (2014–2015).
From 2004 to 2009, he served as Secretary General for Information Systems at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. During his tenure, major public information systems were developed and implemented, including property taxation systems (ETAK) and the asset declaration system (E9), the new TAXISnet platform, the electronic customs system (ICISnet), the audit services system (ELENXIS), electronic pensioner information and service systems, and the mobile-based information service (M-TAXIS).
From 2019 to 2023, he served as Secretary General for Information Systems for Public Administration at the Ministry of Digital Governance, contributing significantly to the rapid advancement of Greece’s digital transformation in recent years.
