Dr. Ioannis (Yannis) Vezakis is an AI/ML Engineer at TECREANDO B.V., an Amsterdam-based company specialising in software engineering, venture building, and deep-tech innovations. He holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, where he specialized in automated pathology diagnosis and prognosis using artificial intelligence. At TECREANDO, he leads AI development for multiple EU-funded Horizon Europe projects spanning healthcare, cultural heritage preservation, and advanced sensing technologies. His research focuses on developing state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms for medical imaging, clinical decision support systems, and personalized interventions. He has served as researcher and technical coordinator across numerous Horizon 2020/Europe projects, coordinating significant grant proposals for national and European programs. He has published extensively in leading international peer-reviewed journals and maintains academic appointments as postdoctoral researcher and instructor in AI and biomedical engineering.
