Sofia Terzi is Head of the European Programs Department at IDIKA. (e-Government Centre for Health and Social Security Services), the national eHealth and social security IT authority of Greece. She holds a degree in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and is currently a PhD candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in e-Government and digital transformation.

She has more than 20 years of professional experience in information technology, including software design and development, project and team management, and participation in research and innovation initiatives. Over the course of her career, she has contributed to numerous European and national co-funded projects in areas such as digital health, interoperability, and public sector modernization.

In her current role at IDIKA, she serves as Project Officer and coordinator for European-funded projects. Her responsibilities include strategic planning and submission of EU project proposals, coordination of international consortia, financial and administrative management, monitoring of project implementation, and support to multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams.

Her main research and professional interests focus on eHealth, cross-border interoperability, digital identities, blockchain technologies, and trusted data sharing in the public sector. She has authored and co-authored several scientific publications and has presented her work at international conferences on topics such as system interoperability, verifiable digital credentials, decentralized identity, and transparency in digital transactions.

At the Athens Digital Health Week 2025 (ADHW 2025), she presented the EU4Health project “European Digital Vaccination Card – EUVAC,” in which IDIKA participates as the National Contact Point for eHealth (NCPeH) for Greece. In this project, IDIKA acts as the consortium coordinator, leading collaboration among EU Member States to advance interoperable digital vaccination services across Europe.
