Christina – Maria Kravvari is a retired Major General and has served as Head of the Health Department of the Hellenic Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection from March 2020 to April 2025. She has been appointed as the alternate national representative for Behavioral and Cultural Perspectives on Health at the WHO, while also being a member of the Advisory Board of the European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA).

She graduated in 2012 as a Second Lieutenant from the Nursing Officers’ School and worked until 2020 at the 251st General Hospital of the Air Force. She holds a master’s degree in Social and Preventive Medicine and Quality in Healthcare with a specialization in “Prevention & Public Health” from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and, in addition, she has completed the two-year Executive MSc Health Economics, Policy & Management program at the London School of Economics (LSE). In 2022, she received a certificate of completion for the online program “Leadership and Character in Uncertain Times” from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and in 2023 she was awarded a scholarship to participate in the International Seminar Program of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Her research interests include public and environmental health, addressing health emergencies, and providing humanitarian assistance.

She has been appointed as the representative of the Ministry of Health to the Health Security Committee, the European Environment and Health Task Force, the Joint Procurement Agreement Steering Committee and the Informal Commission Expert Group on Global Health in Development Cooperation of the European Commission.
