Dimitra A.M. Pappa is an Histopathologist MD, Public Health MD, and CEO of E.K.A.P.T.Y. S.A. She served as Joint Hospital Administrator of Elena Venizelou – Alexandra General Hospitals, as well as Spiliopouleio Hospital “Agia Eleni”, President of the Social Welfare Center of the Region of Thessaly, overseeing the care of approximately 350 persons with disabilities. Member of a Three-Member Evaluation Committee of ADIP responsible for the institutional assessment of Greek Universities, including the University of Ioannina and the University of Thessaly. She served in the Health Department of the Region of Thessaly as a Medical Inspector. Coordinator of an innovative mosquito control public health program for the Region of Thessaly, awarded pan-European recognition for excellence in Public Health. Board Member of the Anti-Cancer Society of Larissa. Additionally, actively supported the work of UNESCO at the local level through multiple initiatives. She served for five years as Scientific Director and Head of IASO Lab. of Surgical Pathology. Her educational experience includes teaching Surgery at the Nursing Institute and Histopathology at the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, Technological Educational Institute (TEI). She demonstrates extensive research and analytical work in the fields of COVID-19, oncology, pharmaceutical products and European-funded programs related to disability.
