HL7 Deputy Chief Standards Implementation Officer

Diego Kaminker is a globally recognized authority in healthcare interoperability, distinguished as both an HL7 Fellow and an IMIA/IAHSI Fellow. Serving as the Deputy Chief Standards Implementation Officer for HL7 International since 2022, he has spearheaded hundreds of regional and national projects using HL7 V2.x, CDA, and FHIR standards. A prolific educator and Featured Educator at HL7 International, Diego has trained over 10,000 students worldwide through his HL7 and FHIR Fundamentals and Intermediate courses and has authored foundational literature, including Principios de Interoperabilidad y Estándares. His leadership spans eight years on the HL7 International Board of Directors and his ongoing role as a founding board member of HL7 Argentina, where he served as Editor for the National Digital Health Network FHIR Implementation Guide. Awarded the HL7 Volunteer of the Year in 2008, Diego continues to bridge the gap between complex technical standards and real-world clinical implementation across the globe.
